Suprascapular
Suprascapular nerve block is an injection of the nerve that supplies most part of shoulder joint. It is performed with local anaesthetic and steroids. It is indicated in painful shoulder conditions including frozen shoulder or when there is suspicion of entrapment of the supra scapular nerve.
Femoral
The femoral nerve block anesthetizes the femoral nerve distribution and is utilized for anterior thigh and knee procedures. It can provide effective analgesia with less opioid intake, which consequently reduces the adverse effects from opioid consumption, and promote earlier hospital discharge.
Sciatic
A sciatic nerve block is a nerve block that uses local anesthetic to achieve analgesia in the leg.
Supraclavicular
The supraclavicular block is a regional anesthetic technique used as an alternative or adjunct to general anesthesia or used for postoperative pain control for upper extremity surgeries (mid-humerus through the hand).
Interscalene
The interscalene block (ISB) anesthetizes the brachial plexus at the level of the nerve roots, and is used for surgery of the upper arm, shoulder, and neck.
IPACK
Interspace between the popliteal artery and capsule of the posterior knee (IPACK) blocks are used to reduce pain after knee surgery. Patients who have an IPACK block will have the posterior part of their knee numbed. This will help minimize the opioids you need to take in the immediate recovery phase.
